Which lawful basis we rely on may affect your data protection rights, which are set out in brief below. You can find out more about your rights and the exemptions which may apply on the ICO’s website.
- Your right of access. You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information, and for details such as where we got it from and who we share it with. Some exemptions mean you may not receive all of it.

Our lawful bases
To provide and improve products and services for clients, and for the operation of client or customer accounts, our lawful basis is contract: we have to collect or use the information so we can enter into or carry out a contract with you. All of your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.
For dealing with queries, complaints or claims, our lawful basis is legitimate interests. All of your rights may apply except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are: when someone contacts us about a report, a payment or their account, we need to keep their name, contact details, account details and the correspondence itself so we can answer them, put right anything that has gone wrong, and show what was said if the matter is disputed later. Handling a query properly is in the interest of the person who raised it as well as ours, the information used is only what they have already given us, we keep it no longer than we need it, and we do not use it for marketing or share it for any other purpose.
Where we get personal information from
Directly from you.
How long we keep information
We keep your personal information for six months, after which it is deleted.
Who we share information with
Data processors: website hosting and managed WordPress provider. They host the website and its database, which holds the account and report information people give us, and they keep the backups of it.
How to complain
If you have any concerns about our use of your personal information, you can make a data protection complaint to us by email at [email protected], or by post to Lynene, Bannerman Road, Nottinghamshire, NG17 8DW, United Kingdom.
If you remain unhappy with how we have used your data after raising a complaint with us, you can also complain to the ICO.
