Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of https://audit.pinkcrab.co.uk (the “Site”) and the services we provide through it. The Site is owned and operated by PinkCrab Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 14867072, trading as Pink Crab (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By using the Site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who can use the Site

You must be at least 18 to create an account or place an order. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to agree to these Terms for it.

2. Our services

We check WordPress websites using publicly available information and produce reports on what we find.

  • Site summary. A summary report, requested through the form on the Site.
  • Full report. A detailed report covering eight areas: site health and core integrity, server response, security and vulnerabilities, technical SEO and crawl, AI search, accessibility, screen reader and semantic flow, and cookie consent. The full report costs £15 and may include a recording of a screen reader reading your page.

We only use public access. We never ask for admin logins, FTP details or passwords for your website, and nothing is installed on it.

3. Your authority to have a site checked

You may only ask us to check a website that you own, operate, or are authorised by its owner to have checked. By submitting a website address you confirm that you have that authority. We may refuse or stop any check we reasonably believe is not authorised.

4. Checking we can reach your site

Before a report is produced, we check that we can read the site. If a firewall, bot protection or similar service blocks us, we will tell you and explain what you can allow so the check can run. We do not take payment for a report until we have confirmed we can reach the site, and we cannot produce a report on a site that continues to block us.

5. What a report is, and what it is not

A report is evidence gathered by automated checks, measured against published criteria such as WCAG 2.2, with the source of every finding shown.

A report is not legal advice, not a certificate of compliance with any law or standard, and not a guarantee that your site is free of problems. Automated checks cannot find every issue, and they are not a substitute for testing with real people, including disabled people. You and your own advisers decide what the findings mean for you.

6. Payments

The price shown on the Site when you order is the price you pay. Any quotation we issue is valid for 30 days. A contract is formed when you place an order and we accept it.

Payment is taken by card through our payment provider when you place the order. Prices are in pounds sterling [confirm: “and include VAT” or “we are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged”].

7. Delivery

Reports are delivered to your account on the Site, where you can view them and download a copy. We aim to deliver within 24 hours of your order, or of your site becoming reachable if it was blocked, but any timescale is an estimate. We will tell you if a report is going to take longer.

8. Cancellation and refunds

If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the day the contract is formed, without giving a reason.

Because a report is a service we start straight away, when you order you ask us to begin within the cancellation period, and you accept that:

  • if you cancel after we have started but before the report is delivered, we may keep a proportionate amount for the work already done; and
  • once the report has been delivered in full, you lose the right to cancel.

To cancel, email [email protected] or write to us at the address below. We will refund any amount due within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method.

If we cannot produce a report because your site remains unreachable, we will refund you in full.

We do not offer any cancellation right beyond these statutory rights.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights as a consumer under the law of England and Wales, including your right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill and as described.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a report or anything we have done, contact us by email at [email protected] and we will aim to respond with an appropriate solution within 5 working days.

We do not subscribe to any code of conduct.

11. Accounts

When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the information in it being accurate and up to date. We may suspend or close an account that is used unlawfully or in breach of these Terms.

12. Reports and your data

Your reports are private to your account. We keep reports and the information behind them for six months, after which they are deleted. Download a copy if you want to keep it longer.

We collect and use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. Our data protection contact is [email protected].

13. Intellectual property

The Site and its content belong to PinkCrab Limited. Your report is licensed to you for your own use, and you may share it with anyone working on your site, such as your developer or advisers. You may not resell our reports or present them as your own work.

14. Third party services

We use trusted third parties to run the Site, take payments and carry out parts of our checks. The Site may link to other websites we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

15. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

Otherwise, our total liability to you for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed. If you use the Site or our services for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or data.

16. Your responsibility to us

If you ask us to check a website you are not authorised to have checked, or otherwise use the Site unlawfully, you are responsible for any losses we suffer as a result.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate. The Terms in force when you place an order apply to that order. We will tell account holders by email about significant changes.

18. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
